LEVEL UP YOUR CHARGING

Level 1, Level 2, or DC fast —
which charger is right for you?

Three classifications, one honest answer for homes: Level 2. Here's why, in plain terms — we'll help you pick based on your parking, your panel, and your budget.

Level 1 — the cord in the trunk

△ 24–48 hours to full

Plugs into an ordinary wall outlet, which is the problem: a full charge takes one to two days of non-stop charging. Fine as a backup; frustrating as a plan.

THE HOME ANSWER

Level 2 — what we install

✓ 5–10× faster; full overnight

Runs on 240V — the same power as your clothes dryer — and fully charges most EVs in 8–12 hours. Charge overnight on the cheap window and wake up full every morning.

DC fast charging

△ Road-trip tool, not a home one

480V three-phase power that charges in under an hour — and costs accordingly. Practical for highway corridors and commercial sites, not driveways. Need one for your business? That's this page.

TESLA CHARGER INSTALLATION FOR HOMES

Searching "Tesla charger installation near me"?

You're looking for a crew with a plan that fits your house. Our locally owned, Class A team designs Tesla home charger installation around the way you actually charge — then handles the red tape so you don't have to.

A plan that fits your home

✓ Wiring + parking layout, matched

We match your panel and parking to the right setup, then commission your Wall Connector in the Tesla app. The Universal Wall Connector delivers up to 11.5 kW (48A) and charges Teslas and non-Teslas via its integrated J1772 adapter — ideal for mixed-EV households.

Optimized for savings and speed

✓ Scheduled for the cheap window

We set up smart scheduling for off-peak charging in the Tesla app before we leave. Where your utility offers a real overnight rate, that's money on every single charge — see our rates guide.

Every other brand too

✓ ChargePoint · Emporia · Wallbox & more

Tesla certified, ChargePoint certified, Blink installer — and the rebate-eligible brands (ChargePoint, Emporia, Wallbox) are all chargers we stock and install. The right box for your car, not our inventory.

REBATES & RATE PLANS — WORTH FIVE MINUTES BEFORE YOU BUY

Dominion customers have two mutually exclusive options: the $125 EV Charger Rewards rebate + $40/yr (eligible chargers only — we install all of them), or the Off-Peak Plan's ~13.4¢ overnight window — which one wins depends on how far you drive. There's also a $40.27/month all-in program that puts charger, install, permit, and warranty on your Dominion bill; as a Qmerit Certified Service Provider, we're frequently the installing crew either way. HOW IT WORKS

Consultation to commissioning,
one crew the whole way.

1

Consultation & design

We assess your home's electrical system — in person or by video — to confirm your panel can feed the charger properly, then help you pick the right charger and location for the way you park.

2

Installation & training

Qualified technicians, permitted and inspected work, and before we leave you'll know exactly how to use your new charger — every question answered.

3

Maintenance for life

If anything ever acts up, we're on site fast — typically within 48 hours — to repair or replace, so you're never stranded at home without a way to charge.

Live in an apartment, townhome, or condo? We'll work with your property management team to find a solution for the entire property — see commercial & multifamily charging.

FAQ

Home charging questions, answered honestly.

How much does a Level 2 installation cost?

Most Central Virginia homes land between $700 and $2,400 installed, depending on panel location and wire run. You'll get an exact number — the real, no-fee price — before any work starts.

Are there rebates?

Dominion's EV Charger Rewards pays $125 on eligible chargers (ChargePoint, Emporia, Wallbox — we install all three) plus $40/yr. It can't combine with the Off-Peak rate plan, so we run your actual numbers and tell you which side wins — sometimes it's neither, and we'll say that too. Other utilities differ; the rates guide has every one.

How long does the install take?

Most homes are one visit. We pull the permit and handle the inspection in every jurisdiction we serve — it's included, not an upsell.

What if my panel can't handle it?

We check that first. If your panel needs an upgrade, we're the licensed contractor for that too — it's the foundation under every charger, battery, and backup system we install — and you'll get one honest quote for both.

Spend less time waiting. More time driving.

Tell us about your home — snap photos of your panel and where you park, and we'll quote faster. You'll hear from us right away — and a real person, usually Jonathan, follows up within one business day.
